Part 2 External and Internal Observations
Our health is our OWN personal responsibility. Have you noticed yourself relying too heavily on external motivators or observations, such as the number on the scale for weight loss, or the mirror for body image, the amount of weight you can lift, comparing your stretchiness to others in a yoga class? Using these external observations to manage and motivate our personal health doesn't work for everybody, every body type or every personality. Have you noticed what happens to your stomach after drinking a certain kind of coffee in the morning? Or your heartburn when eating food too late at night? Are you noticing different places in your body complaining when you sit too long? Where? And what are you doing with these internal signals? While external observations can motivate some of us some of the time, let’s consider how our internal observations could more mindfully help us to make changes. Join us for a conversation on the hows and whys of paying attention to Internal Observations of our bodies.
